Privacy Policy & General Overview
At Patrick Electronique & Cellphone Repair, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to perform repairs and communicate with you regarding your service status. We value the trust you place in us when handing over your personal devices.
This policy outlines how we handle your personal data and the terms under which we provide our repair services. By submitting a device for repair, you agree to these terms.
Data Collection & Security
We may collect the following information:
- Contact details including name, email address, and phone number.
- Device passcodes necessary for testing functionality before and after repair.
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences, and interests for invoicing.
Security Note: We highly recommend backing up your data before bringing your device in. While we take every precaution to protect your data, Patrick Electronique is not responsible for any data loss that may occur during the repair process, especially for devices with severe motherboard damage.
Repair Warranty
We stand behind our work. Our standard warranty covers:
90-Day Screen Warranty
Covers defects in materials and workmanship for screen replacements. Does not cover physical breakage.
30-Day Battery Warranty
Covers battery failure or significant capacity drop shortly after replacement.
The warranty is void if the device shows signs of new physical damage, liquid damage, or if it has been opened by a third party after our service.
Liability & Risks
Electronic repairs involve risks. In rare cases, opening a device may reveal pre-existing damage that causes the device to stop functioning completely.
Water Resistance: Please note that opening a device for repair compromises its original water resistance seal. While we apply new adhesive, we cannot guarantee the device will remain water-resistant or waterproof.
Diagnostic Fee: If a device is unrepairable or if you decline the repair after diagnosis, a minimum bench fee may apply to cover our technician's time.
Device Abandonment Policy
Due to storage limitations, we cannot hold devices indefinitely.
Devices left for more than 30 days after notification of repair completion (or notification of unrepairable status) will be considered abandoned.
Patrick Electronique reserves the right to recycle or dispose of abandoned devices to recover costs associated with parts and labor. We will make at least three attempts to contact you via the phone number and email provided before taking this action.
